My Work / Background
Hi there! I'm Jacky. I’ve been a UX/UI and Product Designer for five years. I've worked in a variety of spaces, including B2B enterprise, non-profit, and consumer-facing products. enterprise SaaS and AI-driven products. My work has centered around designing complex systems that help real-world professionals make business-driving decisions.
As Lead UX/UI Designer at ClearBlade,
I helped build a structured, user-centered design process from the ground up, and grew the UX/UI design team from just myself to 3 UX/UI designers at its height.
I led design initiatives for an enterprise asset monitoring platform used by Fortune 500 and public-sector organizations.
I designed for complex multi-role environments, worked in ambiguous problem spaces, and collaborated closely with product and engineering teams to translate open-ended client requests into intuitive user experiences that would scale seamlessly as the products grew.
I studied Neuroscience at Loyola University Chicago, which has shaped how I think about human behavior and decision-making. I continue to apply these designing data-heavy and AI-assisted interfaces.
How I approach design
I believe good user experiences emerge from close, consistent collaboration between design, product, and engineering.
I prioritize getting a strong foundational understanding of the problem-space before jumping into trying to solve anything. I believe intentional user research and asking lots of questions early on–and throughout the design process–are essential to creating a good product.
Systems-thinking: I try to step back and look at the bigger picture and all of the interconnected factors and relationships involved in my users' journeys.
I focus on long-term product vision and scalability rather than the individual features.
I thrive at turning loosely defined problems into a clear, focused design direction.
